Fully matured, EWC is a relatively short tree of small diameter out of which it is very hard to pull long perfectly sound and square pieces. Since most North American EWC mills are sawing 8’ and shorter dimensions, the very few longer pieces are often of dubious quality and also, often come with a rotten center (hollow hart) at one end and lots of waine at the other. Ask the fence builders who have a tough choice when the time comes to bury one of these ends in the ground, or playground apparel builders who will need to cut them for mechanical safety. Dock builders simply pray to God that these pieces will last the full period of the guarantee they offer when immerged. You now can order full trailer loads of our exclusive re-engineered 9’ and longer 5x5 and 4x4 Squares: they are perfect S4S #1 grade from tip to toe (No waine, no rot, STK, PET). They are guaranteed 20 years when used underground and underwater as well as 40 years when used off the ground. That cannot be more ecologically suitable firstly because cedar is the best species which is naturally resistant to insects and decay (no added chemicals) and, secondly, because they are made with 100% natural salvaged cedar squares. they can be precision trimmed to your preferred lengths up to 16’, thanks to our guaranteed method using the oldest and best performing jointing design ever invented by man, combined with the latest hi-tech and hi-performance materials in paintable, waterproof and frost-proof wood bounding.
